Satori Sage Designs began as a gentle nudge from my late grandmother, Nanny. Prior to her death in 2014, she warned me to not be like her -- that I needed to live my life. After she died, I inherited many of her costume jewelry pieces and other such jewelry that no one wanted. I didn't want to throw it out. So I kept it.

In 2017, I felt Nanny pushing me again. I needed to make jewelry and I was to use salvageable pieces from her jewelry. I sat at my kitchen table with a pair of scissors staring at the pile of her jewelry. It was hard...really hard to grab the first necklace, but I eventually grabbed a white beaded necklace and made the first cut... and Satori Sage Designs was born.
